Patna, July 7 (IANS) A journalist and his pregnant wife were beaten by their landlord here over a dispute over vacating their rented house, police said Saturday.

Anand S.T. Das and Asha Purna Das, who is four months pregnant, were attacked in Kankarbagh Colony by their house owner, Janardhan Ojha, said a police official.

Das said he came under attack when he tried to rescue his pregnant wife who fell on the floor after being hit.

"My wife was badly beaten and pushed to the floor when she went to inquire why electricity was cut off by them Friday night," Das told IANS.
